What we offer

Positive Behaviour Support

Helping you thrive with practical, person-centred strategies.

Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) is an evidence-based approach designed to help you live more fulfilling, independent, and inclusive lives. Practitioners explore the reasons behind behaviour and develop strategies that promote well-being, participation, and personal growth. PBS focuses on understanding you and what’s causing behaviours, so we can support you in safer, more positive ways, without using restrictive practices wherever possible.

At Gateways, we understand that Positive Behaviour Support can transform lives. Our compassionate and experienced team works closely with individuals, families, and support staff to develop strategies that are meaningful, practical, and achievable.

We take a hands-on approach, observing environments, understanding unique needs, and tailoring solutions that fit your life. Our ongoing guidance ensures these strategies work in everyday situations.

Our behaviour support practitioners collaborate with you to create a personalised Positive Behaviour Support Plan (PBS Plan) tailored to your life and goals. This includes:

  • Understanding your individual strengths, needs, and triggers.

  • Identifying positive strategies to encourage desired behaviours and outcomes.

  • Providing clear guidance and practical support to apply these strategies in daily life.

We are with you every step of the way, offering practical solutions that make life easier, more enjoyable, and more fulfilling.

Our team combines years of hands-on experience with evidence-based, person-centred approaches.

We help you build the skills, and confidence, to activley participate in your community

Our focus is on reducing restrictive practices and creating safe, inclusive environments.

We provide advice, training, and resources to ensure strategies make a real difference in daily life.
